GUERILLA CAFÉ

I had some breakfast outside at Guerilla in Berkeley this morning. I usually order some waffles with a fresh orange juice.

MONTEREY MARKET

I am so happy, I live right near this market. They have good vegetable and fruit that are in season,
that have grown not too far away and most of it is organic at a very reasonable price.

LUNDI

I made myself a healthy soup: Buckwheat noodles, carottes, squash, collards and poached chicken.

WHILD THINGS

I miss summer and cooking anything over fire.

CAFE DO BRAZIL

Just ate this amazing brazilian sandwich. It's a bread roll with tri tip, caramiliezd onions, olives, pickles, ricotta cheese and an amazing garlic and cilantro sauce. There was a table with bottles of hot sauces, IIRC, Tapatio, a green sauce and a habenero-based sauce. All this obviously went directly in the sandwich as well. I love to eat very spicy.

BOULETTES LARDER

Here you can buy amazing food to take home: Eat some delicious "beignets" on sunday brunch: Sit down at the communal table and have trouble choosing something from the menu, because you want to taste everything: And you finally decide to start with a maroccan citrus salad: Then taste some crab cakes with beurre blanc and have a bite of cardoon gratin served with poached eggs and some miniutina green salad: All this is to be found at Boulettes Larder, a cute place in the Ferry Building, facing San Francisco's Bay bridge.

PETIT DÉJ

This morning I ate granola that I made. It's so easy to make:
You just drop some oats with almonds, pecans, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seed all together in a mixing bowl. (At this point use whatever seeds you like) In there you will put some cinnamom, salt, brown sugar, rice syrup, apple sauce, honey and hazelnut oil. You give it a nice little turn, some love and then you let it in the oven at a decent temperature for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes until the granola is golden brown !

DIMANCHE

I just had a good sunday. I ate cup cakes, had tea in a cute little cup, and met a nice poodle on my way to the supermarket.

TULAN

I ended 2009, by eating delicious vietnamese food.  Even Julia Child came across the cover of the menu which is an endorsement to be remembered. There are three great things about this restaurant: 1) it's good food 2) the portions are considerable and 3) the prices are so reasonable.
